Top Trio in Barcelona: 1,2,2 for corratec & Mountainbike Racing Team

What a result for corratec! In the stunning setting around the Magic Fountain in Parc Montjuic in Barcelona, it was Simon Gegenheimer who won the final world cup race of this season's Mountain Bike World Cup Eliminator (XCE). And his team-mate Titouan Perrin-Ganier came in second. Together the corratec duo  dominated the race. But in the Overall Classification it was Titouan who won the World Cup in XCE and will take the trophy home to France.

“We’re both in good form and work well together, which doesn’t make it easy for the rest of the field. But we can certainly look forward to the World Championships in 2 weeks’ time” said Simon, who was very happy with his first World Cup win this season in Barcelona.

And in the Women’s XCE it was Marion Fromberger who put in a great effort but had to settle for second place after Tormena put in a blistering performance in the time trial and subsequent final heats. But nevertheless Marion Fromberger, the young World Champion was still happy with her 2nd place and has her sights firmly set on a medal in the coming World Championships in Indonesia.

Steffen Thum the Team Manager is very happy with his team. Not just the results, but also the attitude of the whole team. He said, “We train hard, win races, laugh a lot and still have long term goals in common. The focus is still there and we want to keep this positive attitude right up to the World Championships in Indonesia”.
