FOUNDATION
Konrad Irlbacher Senior establishes a shop for sporting goods in Rosenheim.
IKO stands for Irlbacher Konrad †, who founded the company in 1962 and whose innovative strength was also transferred to his son, Konrad (CEO/corratec). Together they led IKO to it´s success. Konrad Irlbacher † started his sports business with manufacturing skis and outperformed the competitors with his ideas. He built the first monoski, produced skis with continuous steel edges and chose a screen printing process for the lettering of his models that was so well received that it is now exhibited in the museum in Munich. The experience from his active pro racing days, updated with discussions with today´s top athletes, is a guarantee for highly qualified knowledge at IKO.
