Wheel Split
A corratec bike with Wheel Size Split performes a lot better in flowy trails which have a lot of turns. It is far easier to lay the bike over into the turns, there is more room to move around on the bike and the acceleration out of slow speed turns and situations is great. The smaller rear wheel is marginally more agile and precise on technical trails. On bigger jumps the 27.5 rear wheel gives a little more clearance and there is less risk of the mid air butt buzzing which is heavily unsettling. By the way a unique point of the wheel size split: The 27,5 bike also manuals a lot easier, picking the wheel up and holding it into a manual is easier than with a 29″ rear wheel.

Inside Link
Innovation is our trademark. For more than 25 years, we have delighted our customers, surprised competitors and have been followed by imitators, there are almost no other products with as many useful inventions ad found on a corratec bike. You will feel that in every pedal stroke.
- 200% AntiSquat
- No bobbing
- Active + permanent suspension
- More traction
- More control
- More speed
The new kinematics of the Inside Link system shifts the virtual pivot point of the rear wheel below the chainline. It ensures that during pedaling there is no weight on the damper and the system does not refract. When the pedals are pushed the chain tension increases, the rear triangle is pulled tight. With this unique corratec innovation, you do not have to manually lock the damper while riding.

THROUGH AXLE
Through-axles have the advantage that they are larger in diameter than conventional 9 mm axles and thus are significantly stiffer.
-
29" Wheel Size
Large wheels roll better. 29 inches require about eight percent less energy than the 26-inch version. The 29“ wheel takes longer to get going, but rolls easily and quickly over rocks and roots, which brings an additional advantage – more comfort.
Larger wheels roll over obstacles more easily. The ability of a wheel to roll over obstacles is proportional to its size. A 29" wheel, which is about 10% larger than a 26" wheel, can roll over 10% larger obstacles. The larger diameter wheels have more angular momentum so they lose less speed to obstacles and rough sections.
29" bikes tend to offer taller riders a more "natural" frame geometry.

650B Wheel Size
650B wheel Size is the new MTB standard. The 650B wheel is not a compromise between 26“ and 29“. It combines the advantages of 26-inch models (weight, torsional stiffness and agility) with the advantages of the 29“ impeller (increased smoothness, rollover behavior, increased cornering stability).

BOOST-Standard
The BOOST standard offers new constructive freedom, but only for 29 ' and 650B Plus wheels. The rear wheel hub grows in its width from 142 to 148 mm. There is an increase of 100 to 110 mm in the front wheel hub. Therefore, in the frame with the BOOST standard, 27.5 rear wheels with plus tires can be fitted in addition to the usual 29er wheels. The crank also pushes 3mm outwards, which provides additional stability in the area of the bottom bracket and the larger chain length generally provides more space. This additional space, in the otherwise constantly cramped bottom bracket area, can be used to increase tire-freeness or create a stiffer rear body by using larger bearings.
-
Wider rear and front hub.
-
Stiffer wheels and more space in the bottom bracket area.
-
Larger tire-free for Plus bikes.

Dropper Seatpost
Dropper Seatpost with control lever on the handlebar or seatpost.

EPS (EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE)
Traditionally, inflatable bladders are used inside the carbon frame to force the material into the mould, but this technique leaves wrinkles or inconsistent thickness. To avoid this, we use expanded polystyrene. When heated, this material swells and exerts pressure on the inside of the carbon fibre. The result is a lighter, stiffer and more consistent final product.
